I guess I've been preoccupied with school, (lame) guys, etc. But now I'm making a vow to keep it up to date and finally launch my vintage/contemporary boutique. I'm in the process of fixing it up (http://jiltedlover.miiduu.com/) so excuse its appearance. I have a photo shoot with an amazing photographer, Neef Fresh, next month! The theme is 70s disco glam. Lately I've been obsessed with Halston, Bianca Jagger, Jerry Hall, Studio 54, etc. I just love the decadence. So I can't wait to post those photos up and create a facebook, launch my boutique, etc. Stay Tuned! xx

My 25th birthday was on November 30th but the girls and I decided to celebrate it the next day with a wild night in the city. It was fun! Once we arrived on the ferry one of the ferry operators approached us and asked us if we wanted to see the captain's quarters! of course we said yes! then we headed to Sway on Spring st. but I couldn't get in due to my lack of ID. So we bolted to the LES where we hit up our usual venues (the Darkroom, Max fish, and Pianos). We drank whisky,patron,tequila, etc. danced the night away, and ate pizza at Artichoke. I also met a cute guy! Kind of a surprise for me. Since the type of guys that usually hit up lounges/clubs tend to be gross. ACK! All in all it was a great night! One to remember when I'm old and gray.

The beauty of eBay.

eBay is a wonderful website for finding authentic designer items. But you have to be cautious about it because you may get stuck with an imitation. For example I ordered a Diane Von Furstenberg dress from a shop, but failed to realize that this item was shipping from China and the seller had negative reviews. It was an adorable dress with this cute artichoke print on it, but it was so cheaply made. I know DVF would never produce something where the tag would fall off easily! Oh well. You live and learn. So after that fiasco I vowed to never let that happen again. Here are some of my tips for purchasing designer items through eBay:

1) If it seems too good to be true, it probably is! A Chanel bag for $300?? Get real. Even if it claims to be vintage it's still highly unlikely. These high end bags come with serial numbers, so you should check that out. Also you can take it to any Chanel boutique to check its authenticity. But my advice is to actually save up the money and get it directly from their boutique. It's the safest bet. Or just don't purchase one at all. I know not everyone can afford a Chanel, Louie Vuitton, Hermes, etc. (At the moment, I can't!) so why carry around a fake? It's a total fashion faux paus plus it supports terrorism and child labor.

2) Check out the sellers feedback. Do they have a substantial amount of positive feedback? then that's clearly a great sign.

3) Check out the sellers location..China? Malaysia? Phillipines? It's more than likely a fraud. Although I have purchaed Ray bans from a seller in China and they turned out to be real. So there are exceptions.

Book Du Jour: When the spirits danced mambo by Marta Moreno Vega

"When the spirits danced mambo" is a light read filled with beautiful prose. Ms. Vega chronicles her childhood in NYC's "El barrio" and discusses her Grandmother's religion Santeria which Ms. Vega eventually adopts as she grows older. Santeria intrigues me as do most religions, but I don't follow it. Occasionally I'll take a spiritual bath or light a candle for guidance. But that's as far as I'll go.(I'm not too keen on witchcraft) I have adopted these practices from my grandmother and mother who sometimes visit a "Botanica" for items to clean the house or soul. So reading this book resonated with me! It offers insight on growing up in a lively Nuyorican household back in the 60s.

The clothing is absolutely fabulous! Joan Collins was stunning in her heyday! (Actually I still find her equally stunning at 78)

If you're like me and love old movies especially musicals then you might want to check out this underrated classic "Rich, young and pretty" starring Jane Powell. It's about a young girl (Powell) and her father who reside in Texas but head off to Paris for a business trip. She meets a young Parisian named Andre and they fall in love. She also meets her mother(who abandoned her when she was a baby) and they all embark on a fun, musical journey. I love all the dresses worn by Powell and Danielle Darrieux who plays her mother.

I never knew how many vitamins were conducive to the longevity of clear,smooth skin until I decided to research the benefits of each and every single vitamin supplement out there. Here are some of my favorites and their benefits:

Biotin: is good for nail, hair growth and it is said to fight acne and eczema.

Fish Oil: it’s a "good fat"that helps your body fight inflammation, creates healthy skin and hair, helps brain function, etc. So if you suffer from cellulite you might to incorporate this supplement into your diet.

Vitamin A :

Vitamin A, Not only does Vitamin A strengthen "entry points" into the human body, such as mucous membranes, the lining of the eyes, respiratory, urinary and intestinal tracts, it is also essential for the lymphocytes, or white blood cells, that fight infection once in the body. Vitamin A, when converted into the retinal (retinaldehyde) form, is vital for healthy eyes. It allows the eye to effectively distinguish between light and dark, thus improving night vision. Furthermore, vitamin A is believed to fight against cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma and other age-related ocular diseases. When converted into retinoic acid, vitamin A effectively maintains healthy bones and teeth. Dentin, which also requires vitamin A, forms the hard layer of material within our teeth, thereby ensuring their strength. Vitamin A also plays an important role in replacing worn out or old tissue with newer tissue to ensure healthy bones and teeth. Vitamin C: Not only is vitamin C a well-known component of your immune system, it is also necessary for collagen, the main structural protein found in connective tissue. A healthy dose of vitamin C will protect your body from infection and maintain healthy bones and teeth, as well as quicken the body’s ability to repair wounds. Along with its immune functions that fight against bacteria, viruses, and infection, vitamin C also serves as an affective antihistamine that will lessen the unpleasant effects of the common cold, including inflammation, stuffy nose and aches. Vitamin C is a powerful and effective antioxidant that protects our bodies from free radicals that cause oxidative stress. Excessive oxidative stress, or "cellular rust," can lead to a host of severe medical conditions, such as atherosclerosis that can cause both heart disease and stroke, and is associated with many different types of cancer, including lung, mouth, throat, colon, stomach and esophagus. Vitamin C also helps to regenerate your supplies of vitamin E (another useful antioxidant). Vitamin C has been shown to lower blood pressure, and therefore lessen the probability of hypertension, as well as the serious health problems that follow, such as cardiovascular disease. Along with lowering your blood pressure, vitamin C ensures proper dilation of blood vessels, which can prevents such diseases as atherosclerosis, high cholesterol, congestive heart failure, and angina pectoris (a inadequate supply of blood to the heart that causes severe chest pains). Vitamin C dramatically lowers your blood lead level. This is especially important for children living in urban areas, as studies have shown that lead toxicity can lead to behavioral and developmental problems, such as learning disabilities and lowered IQ. Adults, moreover, may suffer from kidney damage and high blood pressure. CataractsThe lens of the human eye requires vitamin C to function properly, and a deficiency can lead to cataracts (a condition in which the lens becomes increasingly opaque, causing blurry vision). A higher intake of vitamin C has been shown to fight cataracts by increasing the amount of blood flow to the eye.

Vitamin E: is an amazing supplement that provides anti-inflammatory effects on the skin. Vitamin E can improve moisture, softness, and smoothness for your skin. If you have unsightly scars you can either dab it on or swallow it. It's your call.

Zinc: Taste and smell are closely related. The cells responsible for both are zinc-reliant, as are the proteins that the body uses to grow those cells. Both taste buds and olfactory cells are specialized cells that are dependent on zinc for their growth and maintenance. Studies have shown that raising a person’s zinc intake can heighten their senses of taste and smell. This is mostly beneficial for people with mild to severe zinc deficiencies.The main job of zinc is to help your white blood cells, your bodies natural infection-fighters, to do their job. This includes skin infections that result from wounds. Zinc is used to treat many skin wounds, including bed sores, skin ulcers, cold sores, canker sores, surgical incisions and burns. Besides fighting infections, zinc is also important in your body’s production of the connective tissue collagen. I remember when I had a really bad sunburn last year and it helped so much! It has so many uses.

Boils suck, but thankfully there's "Boil Ease." If you feel a boil beginning to sprout just dab some of this stuff on and it'll disappear within a day. Bye bye nasty boil!

Tea tree oil is great for fading scars. The only downside is the smell. It's strong, but eventually you'll get used to it.

How To Make It In America: Season 2

Although not likely.

I like "How to make it in America" because it is pretty authentic and I'm from NYC. So that's a plus. Watching them attend fashion events and hustling reminds me of my life basically. I know so many other people in NY who can relate to the main characters struggle for success in the fashion/media industry. Although I don't think the acting is all that great (but I could say the same about "Entourage" with the exception of Jeremy Piven who I really thought carried the show.) I do think the gist of the show is great and hope it gets better as time goes on.

Over the last two weeks, an amazing wave of protest against Wall Street and the big banks has erupted across the country.

In Seattle, San Francisco, Ohio, and Boston (where 3,000 people rallied),1 grassroots groups have shut down banks and held sit-ins to demand that giant banks pay their fair share of taxes, end the foreclosure crisis, and create jobs.

In financial centers like Chicago and Atlanta, hundreds of people have set up encampments in front of major financial institutions for round-the-clock demonstrations.

Outside Los Angeles, community members have been running a 24-hour vigil around the home of Rose Gudiel, who faces eviction after getting foreclosed on for being two weeks late on a mortgage payment after her younger brother was murdered.2

But the biggest protests are on Wall Street itself. “Occupy Wall Street,” which began with a brave group of young people, has swelled to thousands of students, unemployed folks, union members, and others who have persevered through intense police harassment and mass arrests to sustain a rolling 24-hour-a-day protest against the bankers who’ve wrecked our economy and undermined our democracy.3

On Wednesday, MoveOn members will join labor and community groups in New York City for a huge march down to the protest site—the biggest yet.

And because we can’t all be in New York, we’re going to stage a massive “Virtual March on Wall Street” online with our friends at Rebuild the Dream. Together, we’ll add hundreds of thousands of voices of solidarity from the American Dream Movement for the protests across the country and show just how widespread outrage at the Wall Street banks really is.

The protests on Wall Street have been running for two weeks straight and are only getting bigger every day. The signs, placards, and chants focus on standing up for what the protesters are calling “the 99%” of us who are suffering while Wall Street bankers grow richer by the day.

In a telling moment last week, a group of bankers even went so far as to mock the protests while sipping champagne from balconies overlooking thousands of people marching down Wall Street.4

But adding mockery to the callous disregard for our country that we’ve seen from the big banks isn’t slowing down the Occupy Wall Street movement one bit. The protests on Wall Street are set to grow even more this week and solidarity actions are already planned in dozens more cities.

Book du Jour: A soldier's daughter never cries by Kaylie Jones

Loosely based on the life of author, Kaylie Jones, who is the daughter of the famed novelist James Jones, "A soldier's daughter never cries" is set in Paris during the 60s. It was turned into a movie back in the 90s which I saw years ago and I really liked it. There's something about books(and movies) that revolve around expatriates that really intrigue me. Personally I would like to live in France for a few months..Someday! The book is less than 200 pages long and since I'm a voracious reader I think I can finish this before lunchtime. Kaylie also has another memoir titled "Lies my mother never told me" which I read about a month ago. It offers a more in depth look at her relationship with her parents which, sadly, was less than ideal. Both books and the movie are wonderful and worth a glance! xx

I'm pretty sure I have an addiction to Walgreens because I'm there almost everyday and it's becoming habitual. I go in there for one or two items and come out with ten items in tow. The same thing happens at dollar stores! Lately I've been too lazy to book a bikini wax appointment (and too scarred to book a brazilian wax! ay yi yi), so I decided to buy wax at Walgreens. Normally I hate buying wax and doing it myself because frankly I suck. The wax gets sticky and adheres to my skin leaving painful welts. As Deena from the Jersey shore would say "It's not a good time." I searched online for reviews on NAIR and Sally Hansen waxing products and the majority of them were awful. I shrugged it off and retreated to Walgreens where I noticed "NAIR's face wax strips."(It's also for the bikini area) It was on sale for $2.99. I can't resist a sale! I tossed it into my basket and headed home. I had purchased waxing strips in the past and I had a bad experience with them. So I wasn't expecting much from this product. But I'm glad to say it exceeded my expectations and left me with a nice, clean bikini line. Removing the waxing strip was easy and it barely stung. Occasionally I'll get ingrown hairs/razor bumps from shaving/waxing that area, but this time around I got none! I didn't even have to use my "Tend Skin." I might not have to visit a salon ever again! More money in my pocket for more inane items at Walgreens! woo!

Inexpensive make up often gets flak for not being up to par with luxury beauty brands. I'll admit I was a make up snob and still sort of am. I love "Make up forever", "Chanel", "Nars", etc. "Make up forever's" HD foundation is one of the best foundations I've ever had and is worth the $40+. But as a budding Journalist I can't always afford to splurge, so I enjoy a good bargain every now and then. Fortunately Walgreens is famous for that! So when I saw eyeshadow pencils for $0.99 I had to stock up. I hardly wear eyeshadow. I find the process of putting it on annoying. I am a perfectionist afterall and it is time consuming readjusting it till it's perfect. So I was glad there was an alternative! Eyeshadow pencils! I purchased all the colors I could grab such as beige, green, blue, gray, and purple. The first time I swept that creamy beige eyeshadow pencil across my lid I was infatuated. It went on smoothly and evenly. I even put some on my bottom lids. I got quite a few compliments on it as well. My eyes really stood out.

My webcam kind of sucks, but here I am wearing the green one.

Celebrity Memoirs - pt. 1

So lately I've been a devout reader of celebrity memoirs, I seem to go through phases with books. I remember back in the summer of 2008 I mostly read memoirs about Iran, the Middle East, the Iranian revolution, Palestinian/Israeli occupation, and stories of women in oppressed nations. But now I've taken a slightly superficial route and immersed myself completely into celebrity autobiographies. (Although I'll throw in the occasional non-celebrity memoir such as Mira Bartok's "The Memory Palace" which is so worth reading and a wonderful, poignant book!) I've always been entranced by the glitz and glam - who hasn't? But as cliche as it sounds "all that glitters is not gold" and it is especially true with the memoirs I've read so far. So I've decided to share the ones (in no particular order) I consider a worthy read! xx

10) "The Million Dollar Mermaid" by Esther Williams

Esther Williams was an MGM starlet who was known for her underwater musicals and marriage to the sultry Fernando Lamas. It's nearly 400 pages long, but worth it. She discusses her traumatic childhood(Sadly she was repeatedly raped by a boy who her parents trusted+cared for as a son and also her older brother died unexpectedly at the age of 16.), her budding career at MGM which eventually faltered as she grew older, her tempestuous marriages, and she also provides some gossip on classic Hollywood stars such as Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, and Ava Gardner. I found her mentioning of Ava Gardner very sad because despite being one of the most beautiful women on the planet, she was extremely insecure and openly refered to herself as "trailer trash" and didn't think she was worthy of love.

9) "Stories I tell my friends" by Rob Lowe

I had some hesitation reading his autobiography because in Melissa Gilbert's (they dated on and off for years) memoir "Prarie tale" she painted him in an unflattering light. He seemed narcisstic. But eventually I rid myself of my preconceived notions and decided to give it a lookover. I'm glad I did because I enjoyed it. Rob Lowe had a knack for acting even as a child. He appeared in several plays back in his native Ohio before moving to California with his mother and brothers. (His parents divorced when he was very young.) He provides some insight on the lax attitudes of Malibu residents in the 70s. Most kids did drugs freely and their parents were okay with it. Of course this had dire consequences and the term "Malibu's lost boys" came about. He soon became buddies with Emilio Estevez, Charlie Sheen, and Chris Penn - this was before they all became actors. He garnered small tv roles and commercials. Eventually he was chosen for S.E. Hinton's "The outsiders" where he played "Sodapop" alongside up and comers - Emilio Estevez, Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, and Matt Dillon. The movie was a success and his career skyrocketed in the 80s! He was part of the "Brat pack" which was coined by a journalist who meant it in a derogatory way, but somehow it became an infamous nickname. He also discusses his difficulty with acquiring acting gigs in the 90s, his bout with alcoholism, the west wing, and his wife of 20+ years. It's an all around good read and shows him in a more human light. (Plus the guy is just so handsome! va va voom)

8) "Pieces of my heart" by Robert Wagner

I had never seen a Robert Wagner movie, but I was always aware of who he was. I knew he was married to Natalie Wood and since she never wrote an autobiography due to her untimely death I figured I'd check out his book with hope that he provided tidbits of information about Natalie's short life which he did. But when I read the first chapter I knew I wanted to continue reading. I didn't want to just skim the book for the parts about Natalie, I wanted to read more about him. This book was really engaging. I loved being transported back to the glamour of the 40s/50s. He was brought up in an upper middle class home and pursued acting in his late teens. Soon his career was taking off and he was rubbing elbows with actors such as Tony Curtis, Janet Leigh, and Rock Hudson. He seemed like a sensitive fellow. So when he was accused by media outlets of murdering Natalie(whom he married twice), he was devastated. He genuinely loved her and her death was an unfortunate accident. He also mentions his popular tv show "Hart to hart" and his stint in the "Austin powers" series. The hardcover also features beautiful, glossy photos.

A few weeks ago I found an old Vogue magazine. I was perusing the pages and stopped as soon as I came across an excerpt of Allegra Huston's 2009 memoir "Love Child" I personally love the non-fiction genre. I'm not huge on fiction for a variety of reasons. It just doesn't beckon me or interest me. I find most people interesting and I feel as if everyone has an exciting story to tell. It doesn't matter who you are or where you live I believe you have something new and fresh to tell the world. Anyway I read the profile and knew I had to request the book at the library ASAP! Lately books about Hollywood royalty have piqued my interests. So once I laid my hands on this book I devoured it in 2 days. Although Anjelica has a background(but still integral) role in this memoir, she still stood out to me. The book doesn't focus on her life. There are only bits and pieces. But still I was intrigued. She seemed like this exotic, ethereal being and I was entranced. She is another woman that I wish to emulate. She possesses style, grace, and regality. Here are some of my favorite photos of her, so you can see what a style icon she truly is:

So today I finally went and got a brazilian wax. I've been wanting one for years, but I've been too chicken! The thought of being completely naked in front of a stranger didn't sit too well with me. But I got over it and just went on impulse. I was nervous. It was a hot day, so I was sweating profusely. I was shifting in my sit waiting to be called on.

Eventually I was called in. I took off my panties and was spread eagle as she slathered on the wax. I bit my lip as she ripped off the strip. I yelped. It was a harrowing experience. It is something I'll never forget. Contorting in various sexual positions is not as fun as it might sound! Frankly it was demoralizing. But I'm happy with the end result. I hate shaving down there. So I think I might just stick to bikini waxes from now on. I think I'm too traumatized to go back for another brazilian in the coming weeks. Gwyneth Paltrow was quoted saying "It changed my life" and believe me it will!

So I decided to spoil myself this week and purchase two pairs of shoes. I've been eyeing these Jeffery Campbell platforms for a while:

I haven't worn them yet, but they're suprisingly comfortable despite the 5.25 inch heel. The platform helps!

And then I saw these bad boys by Sam Edelman on sale at Endless.com, so I had to get them! I've worn them out twice so far and they're absolute torture on the feet. But they're so hot! and I got a lot of compliments. Beauty is pain!

I just love products that have multiple uses and this one does just that! My grandma gave it to me and I absolutely fell in love with it. It's great. I use it as an astrigent and it's also an antiseptic which you can use for scars. Unfortunately I have a few scars from nasty ingrown hairs. Ugh. So for the past week I've been applying this liquid religiously and noticed that the scars have begun to fade. I'm so happy especially with it being summer now I can frolick on the beach or by the pool in a bikini without having to worry about these ghastly scars! Goodbye scars! :)

Ombre hair seems to be a hit among young hollywood fashionistas. But is it good for us? the common folk. I don't know how I feel about it per se. I think the two lovely, young ladies above rock it rather nicely. But I find Drew Barrymore's do rather icky. It looks like a bad dye job. I don't whether or not if I'd try this style. I'm really iffy about it. It might just be easier to let your roots grow in instead of going to a pricey salon.

Boots/booties in the warmer months?

I've been wondering if it was a faux pas or not. But whatever the case may be I still wear my fall/winter booties in the warmer months as long as it's not too hot. I used to rock my Cynthia Vincent over the knee boots(REST IN PEACE) last summer as well as other boots/booties. I really like these Dakota booties by Alexander Wang and would love to purchase them next month. The color has a summery/spring feel to it, but the structure has a fall/winter vibe to it as well. So I think it works out splendidly and they're worth getting. What are your thoughts on wearing boots during the summer/spring months?

I was sent a link to this short film from the filmmaker Dwayne Rodgers and I loved it! Kehinde Wiley is a notable artist based in NYC. He's extraordinarily talented and I had the pleasure of meeting him once at one of his dinner parties. He was so hospitable and warm! Check out the video!

"Last summer Nigerian-American artstar Kehinde Wiley (who you may remember from the Puma Africa campaign) traveled to Israel to photograph a cross section of young men from the region including a focus on Ethiopian Jews, who call themselves “Beta Israel.” The photographs were then used as the basis for his extraordinary paintings now on view from April 9th till May 28th at the Roberts and Tilton Gallery in LA.

with a cowboy hat and boots.
I remember laughing at the cake. The cake was adorned with a naked woman in a
suggestive position. My grandfather was a ladies’ man afterall!
I remember watching my aunts and uncle packing up items in the house and asking if we
wanted to take anything home.
I remember my mom saying, “Don (sir in English) Joe isn’t even dead yet and they’re
taking stuff already.”
I remember my grandfather being buried on Halloween of 1996. I remember my
cousin having a nose bleed that morning.
I remember my grandmother moving in with my uncle and aunt.
I remember the 3 floors being rented to new tenants.
Ultimately I remember the brownstone being sold in 2007, but the memories live on in
our hearts.

It's late at night and I just felt like making a post of my favorite Tex Avery, MGM, Chuck Jones, etc. cartoons! Doggone Tired - The hunting dog is taunted by the rabbit after the rabbit overhears the hunter telling the dog: You'll never catch that rabbit unless you get a good night's sleep. Magical Maestro - An opera singer rebuffs a magician, so the magician seeks revenge by ruining his show. An Itch in Time - A flea seeks refuge in a dog's fur much to the dog's dismay. For whatever reason the video of the whole cartoon won't embed, so you can check it out here. Bugs Bunny and Little red riding hood - I'm not sure what the exact title is, but it's hilarious with the big bad wolf chasing them and little red riding hood being a pest. Falling hare - Bugs bunny meets a little gremlin who takes him on a ride! The wabbit who came to supper - Bugs bunny visits Elmer Fudd's house and runs it amuck! Yankee Doodle Daffy - Daffy shows Porky the kind of entertainment he can expect if he'll give an audition to Daffy's client. Since Porky wants to go on vacation, he does what he can to get out of the audition and on with his trip. I love the little duck with the lollipop! too funny! The honey-mousers - a spoof of the honeymooners as mice! A tale of two kitties - another spoof but with cats playing the roles of the infamous comedic duo Abbott + Costello.

Cellbound - Spike tries to escape prison only to wind up in the home of his warden.

Little Johnny Jet - Virtually identical in plot terms to 'One Cab's Family' (1952), but this time round it concerns a family of aeroplanes and the problems Mom and Pop have with Junior, whose obsession with speed leads him to acquire a jet engine...

One Cab's Family - basically the same plot as above except they're cars!

Little rural red riding hood! The country bumpkins visit their city cousins. Hilarious.

Toy Trouble - I love Sniffles the mouse. He's always getting into some sort of trouble.

It was a fun night! I don't look THAT busted.

I hardly ever hang out on Staten Island because the nightlife is pretty wack and the crowd is uncool(guidos and guidettes irk me). But I had a fun night!(This was way back in December) I hung out with my cousin Tiffany and met new friends (although those friendships didn't last!). I fistpumped for the first time ever too. Lol. Don't be fooled by this seemingly friendly smile. It's all a lie. Ina, one of the Food Network's most notable chefs, has been in the news lately for buffing a 6 year old child striken with cancer's request to cook a meal with her. I used to be a fan of hers and I even purchased her cookbook a few years ago. But now I'm completely turned off by her actions. Who is she???? She turned down his request twice because she's TOO busy. President Obama took time out of his busy schedule to meet a MAW(Make a Wish) child and he's the President! I will never watch her show ever again or puchase any of her products.

She was one of classic hollywood's beautiful, leading ladies!

There's a certain "je ne sais quoi" about classic hollywood stars. They were so elegant and carried themselves with such grace compared to the celebrities today. I'm certain they(old film stars) were promiscuous, did drugs, swore like sailors,drank excessively, etc. But despite all this they managed to be couth!

I'm completely over useless celebrities and pseudo-celebrities who get praised by the media(and everyday citizens) for their heinous antics.

There's the "Jersey shore" cast that has proven time and time again that they're nothing more than vile misogynists. I used to enjoy the show, but their ignorance and arrogance is becoming more annoying than amusing lately.

I bet if there were no cameras, Ronnie would slap Sammi right upside the head.

Then there's Charlie Sheen who went batshit crazy a few weeks ago and almost every guy I know is labeling him their hero. GTFO! Charlie Sheen is a woman beater, druggie, and complete drunk. He seems like a crappy father too. He needs help. At first I thought his antics were pretty funny, but as time passed I realized that his behavior is just sad.

Last but not least there's Chris Brown. I've never liked him nor will I ever like him. His attitude is disgusting. I can't believe there are females who still love him! I remember reading a comment by a female poster that said "Chris Brown could hit me." UGHHHH! What is wrong with people? His latest outburst at GMA has left me even more repulsed by him.

Ivanka Trump, the daughter of Donald Trump(Do I have to elaborate on who he is? Lol), has recently released a footwear line. I've always thought she was absolutely stunning and admirable because she could've easily been another coked up socialite mooching off her very wealthy father. But she didn't go that route. She has turned into a very sucessful business woman. There are four collections in her line: Weekend, Modern Classics, Red carpet, and White. The prices seem reasonable. But some of the styles aren't anything new or special. They might be sold cheaper elsewhere. (Payless?)

I actually like these because there's an "80's working woman" feel to them. I could see Signourey Weaver's character in "Working girl" rocking them.

I've been obsessed with the color nude lately. So I had to purchase these when I saw that they were on sale at Endless.com. They're super cute for the spring and summer months.
